Island Operating is seeking an experienced I&E / Gas Management Foreman to support land-based oil and gas production operations in Karnes County, Texas.
Qualified candidates must have a strong hands-on background in I&E, controls, and gas measurement within land-based oil and gas production facilities.
Responsibilities & Experience
  • Troubleshoot and maintain instrumentation, electrical systems, controls, and field devices
  • Work with pressure, level, and flow instrumentation, transmitters, control valves, and switches
  • Troubleshoot PLC/control systems, electrical circuits, motors, and VFDs
  • Perform calibrations, preventative maintenance, and corrective repairs
  • Oversee and coordinate gas measurement and meter-related activities
  • Coordinate and perform 3rd-party meter proofing and review/complete proofing reports
  • Troubleshoot measurement issues and verify meters and associated instrumentation are operating accurately
  • Read and interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and equipment documentation
  • Coordinate I&E and gas management activities with production personnel and third-party vendors
  • Maintain accurate maintenance, calibration, measurement, and proofing documentation
  • Lead field activities while following LOTO, JSA, permit-to-work, and other safe work practices
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on I&E and/or gas measurement experience in land-based oil & gas production
  • Previous lead or foreman experience preferred
  • Strong instrumentation, electrical, controls, gas measurement, and troubleshooting background
  • Experience with meter proving/proofing and associated reporting
  • Experience working around active oil and gas production facilities
  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Must be dependable, safety-minded, and able to work independently in the field
